Details
Don't be fooled by its dark colour, this is a dry rosé with a lovely waxy mouthfeel and texture. Plenty of cherry bite and lime freshness on the finish, this is gastronomic and delicious.

Origin: The spiritual home of rosé is Provence, in Southern France. Mainly Grown In: Rosé is found all over the world these days, but coastal regions are especially well suited to the growing of red grapes for rosé. Key Facts: Rosé is predominantly made from red grape varieties. The colour of the wine is actually from pigments found in the skins of the grapes, so even red grapes have clear-coloured juice. The colour is then ‘bled’ out of the skins by infusing the skins into the juice. So for rosé, the wine simply spends far less time hanging out with the skins! Rarely you will find a rosé that is a combo of white and red grapes – they’re not ‘less good’, just less common. Rosé is super versatile – it suits any occasion. Best to always have a bottle in the fridge, just in case, you know… Wednesday happens or something. Fun Fact: Despite it's pink hue, rosé is a great way to appreciate some of the things we love most about the red grape types that make it. For example, Pinot Noir as a red or rosé usually has a lot of strawberry character, whereas Shiraz red and rosé shows red plum and pepper in its pink glass! Can you recognise something you like from your favourite red grape in its pink version?

Pairing guide
You can’t help but be impressed by the sheer panache on show when it comes to this beautiful rosé wine from Vina Adela, beautifully showcasing the quality of their fruit, terroir and wine making skills. It’s brilliantly versatile when it comes to food pairing, but we reckon it works best with fish and seafood dishes given a distinctly Spanish twist. White fish like cod or pollock paired with chorizo or black pudding is right up there with the best matches, and it’s also great with spicy prawns, scallops or clams, too. Tomato-based pasta sauces, salty cheeses like feta, manchego or halloumi, stuffed red peppers and courgettes, and ham and cheese combos in a quiche or croqueta would also be highly recommended.

Wine region
Castilla-La Mancha, Spain
La Mancha is a wine region in Spain known for its hot and dry climate, high altitude vineyards, and significant grape production the top sub-regions are Almansa, Jumilla, and Manchuela, each with its own unique wine styles. The terroir across these regions can be characterized by the high chalk content of its soil, which helps to retain moisture during the arid summers. The top wine styles produced in La Mancha are primarily red wines made from the Tempranillo grape, including the well-known Crianza and the top tier Reserva styles, as well as Garnacha, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah. However, the region also produces some white wines made from the fruity Airen grape, which is a native varietal of La Mancha and one of the most widely planted white grape varieties in the world.
