Details
This is a heady, jammy and generous style of Shiraz from Victoria, Australia. The nose is alive with a baked, blueberry pie aroma which carries over to the palate. There is good structure, with that lovely, hedonistic drop of sugar on the finish making this wine super drinkable. Top value Aussie Shiraz here!

Origin: The first recognised wines were made in the Rhône Valley and south-eastern France. Mainly Grown In: One of the world’s leading grapes, it is found in France, Australia, the USA, Argentina and South Africa. Key Facts: Shiraz is a world-beater. Starting small in the southern reaches of France, it has spread to all corners of the world, and is known for producing some of the world’s great red wines, capable of perfume, power and persistence. Local versions are luscious and fruity, loaded with plum, raisin and plenty of oaky richness. European expressions however can be more savoury and tend towards flavours of olive, black cherry and pepper. Both are equally delicious, and are simply a matter of taste! Fun Fact: When Syrah first came to Australia it was called Shiraz. Since then, "Shiraz" has built such a good reputation, that other countries have began to call their "Syrah" Shiraz too!

Everyone loves a great Shiraz - it’s just part and parcel of being a wine lover here in the UK. This gorgeous bottle from Moreno is the perfect reminder of just how good this wine style can be - punchy flavours, layers of character, and a sense of balance and depth that makes it brilliant food-friendly. Obviously, this wine is going to be heavenly with all your grilled, barbecued and charred favourites; chicken thighs, lamb chops, ribs, steaks, burgers, sausages, and eggplant and capsicum skewers. However, it’s also delicious with bean stews, lentil dishes, zucchini and cheese combos and black olives.
