Details
A pale rosé here made from 100% Bobal. We love the bright, vivid red berry accent from top to bottom, with a hint of watermelon, pomegranate and pink peppercorn. Light, bright and 'Oh' so drinkable!

The Spanish wine scene has been dominated by one key region - La Rioja - for centuries. It isn’t difficult to see why this particular region has risen to the top of the pile; the soils are exemplary, the climate cool enough to ensure great balance and structure, and the wineries which work the land have a dedication to excellence, an eye for perfection, and a reverence for quality and tradition which goes above and beyond almost any others found elsewhere in the country. However in recent years the Gredos mountains outside of Madrid have been challenging the monopoly that Rioja has on prestige in the country. Smart vignerons now make wine from both regions - just like the De Andres Sisters! Ana and Ruth de Andrés strive to make the best wines they can while also breathing life into their small village. Where they can’t grow grapes, they plant native trees to preserve and enhance the environment. They are known for the knowledge and for their openness when it comes to bringing together time-honoured traditional techniques with modern technology, equipment and approaches to viticulture. Their recent releases of Garnacha from the Gredos are perfumed and pretty - the closest Spain seems to get to Pinot Noir. Certainly a name to watch.

Pairing guide
The team at the De Andres winery have properly struck gold with this delightfully refreshing and elegant rosé, which bursts with pomegranate and strawberry notes and provides plenty of food pairing inspiration. We loved it with lemon chicken dishes, but it’s going to be excellent with a wide range of Mediterranean flavours including panzanella, saltimbocca, puttanesca and couscous salads featuring pomegranate molasses, nuts and plenty of fresh coriander. Simple salmon and tuna dishes will work well, and it’s also going to be fabulous at a barbecue with grilled sausages and prawn skewers. Nice!
