Details
Pink Prosecco in all its glory, this wine is the perfect summer sipper, at home with or without a plate of antipasti! Bright strawberry and cherry notes dominate, with slightly tarter notes of red apple and cranberry in the mouth. A delight!

Società Agricola Colli Asolani was formed in 1990 by Giovanni Bedin who owned a vine nursery in Veneto, Italy. However, for a better understanding of this producer's history, we need to go back to his grandfather, Giacomo who purchased land in 1948 and planted his vines. Over the decades the family business has been passed from father to son and now lies in the capable hands of Enrico Bedin. Together with his brothers, Luigi, Damiano and Denis, the four have turned Colli Asolani into a modern outfit that is producing some of the best Prosecco around. The estate now owns around 40 hectares of vineyards that cover both DOC and DOCG (Italy's highest mark of quality) sub-regions. Of particular note is the Asolo DOCG, which in 2014 was conveniently named Colli Asolani (from Asolo), a name that Bedin's winery and their brand now share with this prestigious Prosecco-producing region. Across their range, the Bedins are producing wonderfully clean and fresh examples of declassified 'frizzante' style wines, through to precise Proseccos that range in their style and sweetness. We are delighted to be working with them here at Good Pair Days.

Pairing guide
A chilled glass of pink Prosecco is something we’re all happy to see whenever we’re sat down to dinner, and this delightful bottle is right up there with the best of them. Stunningly dry yet exuding delicate soft fruit flavours, it’s the ideal choice for canapes featuring smoked salmon or trout, ham and cheese combos, or spicy prawns and scallops. Chicken or prawn pad Thai and other southeast Asian dishes will always hit the spot nicely, and it’s also excellent with Moroccan salads featuring dried fruits, nuts and pomegranate seeds.

The broader region is home to three DOCG and twenty three DOC wine regions and produces iconic wines like Prosecco, Soave and Amarone. The region is the third largest in Italy and accounts for the bulk of Prosecco production in the world.
