Details
50% Grenache, 30% Carignan and 20% Syrah from 40 to 100-year-old vines go into this excellent bottle of wine. At 10 years old, this is showing its age gracefully with a beautiful dried floral element and excellent, powdery tannins. This will not disappoint.

We discovered the truly fabulous wines of Coca i Fitó in early 2023 whilst on an overseas wine trip and it is safe to say that it was love at first sip when our wine team tasted these. The team here in northeastern Spain are producing wines primarily out of two of the region's most prolific sub-regions: DO Montsant and DO Terra Alta. Most of these wines are single vineyards, produced from pretty old vines using largely local, indigenous grapes to the region. Grenache's red and white are grown here, as well as Carignan (Carineña in Spanish), Syrah and Macabeo (a white grape grown all over Spain). At Good Pair Days, we are proud to announce that we are taking on their 'Aloja' range of wines which are nothing short of world-class. The name of this range is taken from a Catalan myth that cites 'Aloja's' as being 'water nymphs of incomparable beauty'. This range of wine is truly delicious and we can't wait for you to get stuck in!

Pairing guide
A potent blend of Grenache, Carignan and Syrah grape, this wonderfully balanced red wine is going to be a real hit at barbecues, dinner parties and more. It’s a superb wine to pair with hearty home-cooked fare; deeply savoury casseroles, beef or lamb stews, goulash, tagines and ratatouille are all more than satisfying matches. It’s also excellent with grilled chicken thighs, duck salads, tomato-based curries and pasta sauces, and all kinds of mushroom, aubergine or courgette recipes.
