Details
Baron D’Arignac has mixed things up with this semi-sweet sparkling rosé. With creamy red berries and a nice layer of sweetness, this sparkling is perfect for those who like tucking into the lolly jar. There is a lovely floral lift to this fizz which adds to the berry sweetness.
Les Grands Chais is a company that is based in France although they have arms that spread across the modern world with wineries in operation in Australia, New Zealand, Chile and Argentina as well as mainland Europe. Their approach is to source exceptional fruit and make modern styles of wines that will be well received. The Good Pair Days wine team were impressed with their Chilean brands, Casa Bollén and Viña Las Niñas as well as the sparkling wines from Baron D’Arignac. On first visiting Les Grands Chais, apart from being overawed with the amount of wines at our fingertips, the team found the wines to be made with a strong focus on quality and showcasing regionality in each bottle. They each have their own story to tell and whether you are a fan of classical styles or discovering something new, they have you covered. We are excited to bring these wines to British shores for the first time.

Pairing guide
Elegant, vibrant and with a thrilling level of biting acidity, this sparkling wine from Baron d'Arignac is a superb choice for lunch dates, celebration dinners or picnics alike, offering amazing versatility when it comes to food pairing. It’s got a particular affinity for fried and breaded dishes; everything from turkey schnitzel to fritto misto, southern fried chicken and fish ‘n’ chips will hit the spot, as will calamari rings, croquetas and loaded fries. Seafood and shellfish is never a bad idea, and it’s a great option for light, crisp green salads and homemade dips with crudites.

Wine region

Southern France, France
Also known as the Languedoc-Roussillon wine region in the south of France is one of the largest wine-producing regions in the world. It is known for producing a wide variety of wines, including reds, whites, rosés, and sparkling wines. The region's Mediterranean climate and varied soil types, such as schist and limestone, impart distinct flavours and aromas to the grapes grown there. The area has a long history of winemaking, dating back to the Roman era, and is known for producing high-volume, high-quality wines. The most famous wines from Southern France are typically blends of indigenous grape varieties like Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, and Mourvèdre. The region is a popular destination for wine tourists, offering tastings, tours, and wine festivals.
