Details
Balance's 'Winemakers Selection' Pinot Noir flirts with the old world and the new. Black truffle, wild strawberry, cherries and notes of damson leap from the glass. In the mouth, the fruit set is slightly sweeter, with an attractive cooked red fruit profile and subtle notes of saddle and anise. This is complex and incredibly well-priced!
The Balance range of wines is a brand new entry to the UK and we are delighted to have them here at Good Pair Days Central. The talented team behind this project are the crew from Overhex wines in South Africa. With the awesome Ben Snyman at the winemaking helm, these wines are quite fantastic iterations of their grape varieties. In October 2022 our wine team ventured to Cape Town in search of winey gold and discovered these beauties. All of Balance's wines are made vegan-friendly and offer some of the best value wines we have tasted in a very, very long time. Par for the course in South Africa, quality and value come hand in hand and as soon as we tasted through this range, we just knew that they were the right fit for us - and you! Don't waste any time in getting these wines into your basket and eventually, your glass. Ben and the team also take their talents to a new level with their 'Winemakers Selection' range. These wines see a touch of oak, adding further complexity and intrigue to an already fabulous portfolio of wine.

Pairing guide
This Pinot Noir from Balance does everything a great Pinot should do - it’s beautifully drinkable, deliciously flavourful, and ideal for pairing with some seriously tasty food! We love this elegant red with duck breast, lamb shanks, slow-cooked pork and all kinds of rustic vegetable dishes. It’s also fabulous with classic Italian sauces like puttanesca, anything with beetroot or aubergine, and especially with winter greens, kale and autumnal vegetables like squash and sweet potato.
