Details
What a lovely, pretty pink wine this is, with the crew at Zilzie delivering a whole lot of raspberried glory. It just bounces out of the glass in all its reddish pink glory, with that first raspberry aroma hitting like a berry food fight. It all settles down nicely after that, with more of the flavours we know and love of Prosecco - appley fruit, and a crisp but juicy finish. So pink, so fresh.

Origin: There’s a small village called Prosecco near Trieste, in Friuli, Italy. Mainly Grown In: Prosecco mainly comes from northern Italy in the Veneto and Friuli regions, but some plantings in Australia now too. Key Facts: The Italians have nailed fruity, delicious sparkling wines, and none more so than Prosecco - and now it comes in a rosé version! The base grape here is Prosecco (also known as Glera) with a splash of red wine (often Pinot Noir). Prosecco rosé is only a very new phenomenon, but these bubbly wines are exemplary, with vibrant flavours of fresh green apple, ripe grapes and an element of ripe strawberries. A swathe of acidity cuts through the fruit and leaves you reaching for another glass. Fun Fact: In Italy, the only grapes permitted to produce a Prosecco rosé are Glera (aka Prosecco) and Pinot Noir (which the Italians call 'Pinot Nero'). Nothing else!
