It's impossible to go past the freshness with this Vandenberg Blanc de Blancs. Lemon, a little grapefruit, white peach - it's like a cool, lively fruit salad (but the fruits are only just ripe and crunchy). Gently floral, with some of those lovely white flower aromas, this is a very fresh and vital sparkling.
Origin: The original sparkling wines were made in a place called Limoux in southern France. Mainly Grown In: These days, the whole world sparkles - these styles are made anywhere and everywhere, from a range of grape varieties. Sitting on the more luxurious side of the scale, this beautiful sparkling wine from Vandenberg is a real treat to the senses, and a brilliant bottle to pop open during dinner parties, barbecues, picnics and celebration lunches. It’s a top-notch bottle for pairing with creamier pasta dishes, roast white meats, silky fish fillets (and especially fish curries, surprisingly!) and is also brilliant with scallops and other rich seafood favourites cooked with plenty of garlic and herbs. Creamy ripe cheeses, charcuterie and even desserts featuring white chocolate and orchard fruits would also be great.
