Details
There is much to love in this non-alcoholic Pinot Noir rosé; it's so fragrant and exotic! There’s musk, wild strawberries and rose petals - almost like Turkish delight - but it’s light-bodied and soft, with a little tannin and gorgeous red berry flavours to finish. Lovely!

Origin: It was in the USA - in 1869! Mainly Grown In: Every wine-drinking country in the world! Key Facts: Non-alcoholic wines have become very popular, possibly due to a reaction against over-imbibing or simply a wish to live a healthier lifestyle! These wines are de-alcoholised, meaning they’re initially made into wine and then put through a process that removes the alcohol - or most of it. This is why you’ll see a tiny amount of alcohol listed on the label, usually around 0.5%, which is legally ‘non-alcoholic’. Tread Softly is a contemporary wine label that uses sustainable vineyard management and winemaking techniques to ensure its production has minimal environmental impact. Tread Softly is committed to reducing its carbon footprint and to planting an Australian native tree for every six bottles sold. Fun Fact: Did you know they make the wine first and THEN take the alcohol out?! One of the ways this is done is by something called ‘Reverse Osmosis’. This is not an Ancient Egyptian ship! It's actually a clever process that filters out aroma compounds and other bits before the alcohol is removed by distillation. Afterwards, the remaining liquid is added back into the filtered-out wine concentrate. Et Voilá!

Pairing guide
When the sun’s shining and there’s good food on the table, a bottle of Rosé is never far away. We absolutely love Tread Softly, even with the alcohol removed, it will have you buzzing for a pairing with plenty of dishes. It’s especially good with veggie burgers made from grains and earthy vegetables like beetroot will work very well, and it’s a top choice for paneer tikka masala or other meat-free Indian curries, too! Yum!

Wine region
South Australia, Australia
South Australia is a wide and varied state when it comes to wine production. From the coastal regions of Limestone Coast and McLaren Vale, to the warmer inland valleys of Barossa and Eden, to the flats of Langhorne Creek, there's a range of terroirs and temperatures across this wide brown land. As a result, wines labelled with only South Australia can display a range of flavours! The state is probably best known for Shiraz, Grenache and Cab Sav in reds, and Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay in white. Whatever your flavour, there's plenty to explore!
