Details
Guilt-free bubbles! This is a dry and savoury aperitif style, with lovely straw and mineral notes backed up by lemon rind, pear drop and white floral aromas. It’s light and fresh, and driven by chalky acidity - perfect for Friyay drinks and fresh-as-a-daisy feelings on Saturday!
Origin: It was in the USA - in 1869! Mainly Grown In: Every wine-drinking country in the world! Key Facts: Non-alcoholic wines have become very popular, possibly due to a reaction against pandemic lockdown over-imbibing, or simply a wish to live a healthier lifestyle! These wines are actually dealcoholised, meaning they’re initially made into wine and then put through a process that removes the alcohol - or most of it. Which is why you’ll see a tiny amount of alcohol listed on the label, usually around 0.5%, which is legally ‘non-alcoholic’. Tread Softly are contemporary wines produced using sustainable vineyard management and winemaking techniques to ensure their production has had minimal impact on the environment. Tread Softly is committed to reducing its carbon footprint and to planting an Australian native tree for every six bottles sold. Fun Fact: Did you know that they make the wine first and THEN take the alcohol out?! One of the ways this is done is by something called ‘Reverse Osmosis’. This is not an Ancient Egyptian ship! It's actually a clever process that filters out aroma compounds and other bits before the alcohol is removed by distillation. Afterwards the remaining liquid is added back into the filtered-out wine concentrate. Et Voilá!

Wine region

South Australia, Australia
South Australia is a wide and varied state when it comes to wine production. From the coastal regions of Limestone Coast and McLaren Vale, to the warmer inland valleys of Barossa and Eden, to the flats of Langhorne Creek, there's a range of terroirs and temperatures across this wide brown land. As a result, wines labelled with only South Australia can display a range of flavours! The state is probably best known for Shiraz, Grenache and Cab Sav in reds, and Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay in white. Whatever your flavour, there's plenty to explore!
