Details
Delicate white florals and sour lime on the nose turn to crunchy green apple and juicy white grapefruit mouthful of flavour on the palate. This wine is fresh and clean with a nice dry chalky finish... bright, light and tangy - a perfect summer white.
Origin: Some say Spain, while others swear Italy. One thing for sure, it definitely originated somewhere the Mediterranean. Mainly Grown In: Italy, France, Australia. Key Facts: Even though Vermentino is an ancient grape, it has in recent years been coined "the grape of the future" and it's easy to see why. In addition to its deliciously crisp, light and refreshing flavour profile, Vermentino is a grape that can handle the heat of progressively warming vineyard sites across the globe! Where many other grapes pack up and call for a siesta (or make a flat and flabby wine) in the warmest of wine-growing regions, Vermentino basks in the warmth and produces excellent quality wines with exquisite acidy and crunch! If you're a sun-worshipper too, you may have just met your new soul-mate grape. Vermentino is usually unoaked and moderate in alcohol, which like many other Italian varietals, makes it deliciously food-friendly. Fun Fact: Vermentino also goes by the name 'Favorita' in some parts of Italy. And well, we sure know the favourite wine of whoever gave it that name, don't we?

Pairing guide
You really can’t go wrong with a top-notch Vermentino at lunchtime, and this bottle from Signor Vino definitely hits the high notes. Beautifully versatile for vegetarian and vegan cuisine, this crisp and breezy white is going to pair fantastically well with loads of leafy greens and other vegetables. Zucchini, artichoke, arugula and spinach would all work brilliantly with this wine, as will green salads with a citrus dressing, green beans and peas, and Thai-inflected snow pea dishes. Delicious!

Riverina, Australia
The Riverina wine region is one of the three that is the backbone of the Australian wine industry, alongside the Riverland and Murray Darling. The home of Riverina is Griffith where there is a wide range of wines produced from classic Shiraz and Chardonnay to one of the most recognised wines in Australia, the De Bortoli Noble One.
