Details
An elegant, delicate Pinot Noir, that shows off delicious notes of red plums and wild strawberries, balanced by some subtle smoky notes and a deliciously lingering finish. Long and light on its feet, this is a real silky marvel, showing off how good Chilean Pinot can be!
Origin: Burgundy, eastern France. Mainly Grown In: France, Germany, USA, NZ, Italy, Australia, Chile. Key Facts: As a wine drinker, Pinot Noir is one smooth talking charmer; silken texture, soft tannins, juicy acidity and as light in colour as it is on its feet. It does have a reputation however as challenging grape to grow - it's very picky about where it is planted and can be tricky to get right. But the toil of growing it is always worth it in the end! Nothing quite compares to the splendour of Pinot Noir — packed with flavours of strawberry, warm baking spices and elegant earthiness... more is never enough. Fun Fact : Pinot Noir is one of the hardest grapes to grow, needing cool (but not too cold!) weather, and damp (but not too wet!) soil. So, a lot of effort went into your glass!

Pairing guide
When it comes to food pairing, you just can’t go wrong with a Pinot Noir. This bottle from Sierra Grande has all the elegance and dark fruit flavours we love about this varietal, and it’s going to be a natural pairing for pan-roasted duck breast, medium-rare lamb dishes, and fattier steaks like sirloin. However, you can be as bold as you like with your pairings with this wine; it’ll also match up very nicely with burgers and sausages, tuna and salmon dishes, root vegetables, smoked tofu, tomato-based pasta sauces, Indian curries like tikka masala, pizza… the list just goes on and on!

Central Valley, Chile
Nestled in the heart of Chile, the Central Valley wine region is a land of sun, fun, and delicious wines. The region is known for producing a wide variety of wines, from crisp Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay to full-bodied Cabernet Sauvignon and Carménère (a local favourite). The Central Valley has a warm, dry climate and diverse soils, which make it well-suited to grape growing and give the wines produced there a unique character.
