Details
When playing poker, the standard affair is to just peek at your cards and then when you see that diamond/heart pair of aces flashing back at you, just breathe and don’t blow your cover. The ‘Four Aces’ Pinot Noir is your draw popping up with the black aces straight away with dark cherries, plum and plenty of sweet spice. This is luxury personified as you check/bet your way to victory.

Peos Estate is located in the picturesque region of Manjimup in the southwest corner of Western Australia. For those who haven’t heard of this region, you can be forgiven, however once you decide to google some images, we’ll wait here while you book your flights. Manjimup is known for its amazing trees where there is a thriving timber industry and although the wine industry is small here, it certainly is worth jumping into. Peos Estate is owned by the family of the same name where brothers Vic, John, Kon and Chris took over from their late father, Jim in 1996 to drive the winery forward for generations to come. A family with a proud Macedonian heritage, the family don’t just grow grapes on their estate, they also farm everything from dairy cattle to the odd array of vegetables. The wines all carry a theme centred around a pack of cards and from the Four Aces range at the top to the Four Jacks, hopefully you’ll have no need to fold your hand.

Pairing guide
This beautiful Pinot Noir from Peos Estate really delivers when it comes to character, flavour, aroma, and overall distinction. Silky and elegant, yet absolutely bursting with dark fruit flavours, it’s going to be the ideal choice for pairing with meaty stews, rare beef steaks, homemade burgers, and dishes which make great use of duck and lamb. It’s also a brilliant choice for tomato-based pasta dishes, mild curry dishes, salmon and rice combinations, eggplant and wild mushroom creations, and anything featuring the rustic flavours of beans, lentils, and bitter greens like kale and broccoli.
