Details
Martino Tormena has a range of different Prosecco in his portfolio, ranging from the slightly sweeter traditional styles to bone-dry Extra Brut. We think this Brut has the absolute best balance with all of the beautiful white flower aromatics (Acacia, Jasmine, Gardenia) and classic green apple freshness of the finest Prosecco, yet with just the right amount of juicy apple pear fruit. A pure, classy sparkling from one of the real young guns of Prosecco.
While the Mongarda vineyards date back generations and the Mongarda label to 1978, the story behind the unrivalled Mongarda Prosecco wines is really all about Martino Tormena. A young graduate from the Conegliano Oenology school, Martino has gradually transformed the vineyards and winemaking to bring it to the forefront of modern Prosecco. Think organic grapegrowing, a commitment to keeping the old indigenous varieties of Verdiso & Blanchetta, wild fermentations and eschewing the additions of sugar (and instead using grape juice). It all delivers some of the best Prosecco we've tried form anywhere. The driving force behind the Mongarda wines is the stunning, ideally situated south-facing vinyeards where the grapes come from. Here, in the middle of the beautiful Conegliano Valdobbiadene Superiore region - aka the home of Prosecco, you get the purest expression of Prosecco, delivering beautiful sparkling wines of delicacy and delight.

Pairing guide
Gorgeously dry and with no shortage of elegant bubbles and bright fruity notes, this beautiful Prosecco is a sure-fire way to liven up any lunch date or dinner party. Like so many sparkling wines, this is a really food-friendly number, too - it’s going to be great with a massive array of charcuterie and cheese options, as well as all your favourite pastry-based canapes and finger foods. We also reckon it’s great with sweet and sour Asian dishes, chicken satay skewers, crispy tofu and fried rice and noodle recipes, and it’s also going to be delicious with dates with blue cheese and other sweet-and-salty combos.
