Details
Sourced from diverse terroirs in the Pays d'Oc IGP (also known as Languedoc Roussillon) in the south of France, this gorgeous pale rosé is a blend of Grenache and Cinsault. It’s a classic style; dry but fruit-driven, with those strawberries-and-cream and rose petal aromas we just love. Jamelles is juicy with a capital J!

In the early 1990s, when Catherine and her husband Laurent Delaunay were young winemakers, they would find themselves imagining a range of pleasure-bent, delectable, aromatic and flavourful wines that would speak the universal language of their terroir, and be accessible to all wine lovers, whether they be neophytes or connoisseurs. This range would be named Les Jamelles; a feminine name to evoke the roundness of their wines, in the plural form to reflect the diversity of the varieties, and melodious to recall their roots in the Languedoc, land of the troubadours. Today, Les Jamelles wines make up one of the largest collections of varietal wines from the south of France and are enjoyed in over forty countries. They are renowned for their exceptional value for the money and pleasure factor, their wide appeal, and the fact that they can be enjoyed on all occasions. The Delaunays’ initiative has proven to be a great success and the wines speak for themselves!

Pairing guide
With its stunning colour and soft fruit flavours, this Pays d’Oc rosé is a bonafide crowd-pleaser with heaps of food pairing potential. It’s going to be especially good with salty light dishes; anchovies, olives and capers are going to work particularly well, as is anything with prosciutto, feta or parmesan scattered over the top. Vietnamese rolls, spicy Indian fried starters and most sushi dishes are also recommended, and it’s even going to work brilliantly with Asian beef salads, juicy duck breast, and rare rack of lamb.
