Details
Wow! This is absolutely bursting with luscious ripe fruits; from blue fruits to blackberry, it's all juicy fruits here on in. With mouth-filling tannins, that are not drying, just well balanced, the flavour continues and layers with sweet smoky spices with a lively unabated finish. Deliciousness!
Malbec is Argentina’s flagship varietal that performs at its best when grown high up in the mountains, or at 'high altitude'. Introducing 'La Boca', hailing from these heights all the way from the Uco Valley. 'La Boca' is a call to adventure, and an invitation to turn away from the mundane and step into a life rich in colour and culture. Where art sets the scene and music sets the pace to drink, dance and let go of inhibitions. This is one modern Argentinian winery that embodies the electric fusion of its namesake. Sourced from vineyards in the Uco Valley, we are talking elevations of up to 3500 metres. Most of these vines are around thirty years old, now providing concentrated fruit flavours, and being at the southern extreme of fine wine production in Mendoza, it truly is a much cooler climate here. La Boca Malbec is all about these cooler climate characters, and without any use of oak, the style is focussed on retaining wonderful modern Malbec fruitiness.

Pairing guide
We love a good Malbec on a sunny afternoon (to be fair, we love a good Malbec on any day, regardless of the weather) and this boldly flavoured bottle from La Boca definitely knows how to satisfy the taste buds. It’s a natural pairing for big hunks of barbecued beef - especially when served with a piquant chimichurri - and will work well with fattier cuts of lamb and pork, too. Deeply flavoured meat and vegetable stews, braises, and dishes of lentils and beans will work very well, and it will be very happy paired with family favourites like chili con carne and lasagna, and will also pair nicely with smoked seitan creations, too.

Wine region

Mendoza, Argentina
Mendoza is Argentina's premier wine region which is located in the foothills of the Andes mountains. Mendoza is located 1000 km inland from Buenos Aires and is closer to Santiago, the capital of Chile. The region is famed for Malbec, which accounts for 20% of the variety planted in the country, yet also produces high quality Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and the native grape variety, Torrontés.
