There's no hiding with this full-bodied Clare Valley red! Powerfully built, it's chock full of ripe plum and cooked blackberry dark fruit, with a slice of Mint Slice choc minty richness. Oh yes, this is one chunky red, overflowing with flavour and no shortage of tannins to finish it off. It will even live for another decade in the cellar (go on, try and keep your hands off the bottle)!

Mainly Grown In: One of the world’s leading grapes, it is found in France, Australia, the USA, Argentina and South Africa. Key Facts: Shiraz is a world-beater. Starting small in the southern reaches of France, it has spread to all corners of the world, and is known for producing some of the world’s great red wines, capable of perfume, power and persistence. Local versions are luscious and fruity, loaded with plum, raisin and plenty of oaky richness. European expressions however can be more savoury and tend towards flavours of olive, black cherry and pepper. Both are equally delicious, and are simply a matter of taste! Fun Fact: There are many faces to Shiraz, but typically when grown in a cooler area, it will display more lavender and peppery notes. Where as when from a warm climate, more juicy even jammy fruit.
