Details
Vinnae’s freshness entices with aromas of orange sherbet, lemon rind, apples and spiced pear, and lifted blossom notes with a touch of toasted hay. Concentrated & generous in the famous Jermann style, but pretty & elegant at the same time, with bright minerally acidity dancing on your tongue and lovely balance. Irresistible drinkability from the master of Italian white wine.

Established in 1881, Jermann is a wine producer of great history and import in the Italian wine scene. It is no exaggeration to say that legendary winemaker Silvio Jermann has made Italian wine history; taking over the traditional family winery, Silvio overcame his father's resistance and inaugurated a new era not only for Jermann, but for wine production in Italy. In the past fifty years Silvio has expanded the family estate in Friuli Venezia Giulia and built a reputation for gastronomic, intelligent wines. All his wines are extraordinary, multi-layered and complex, expressing the essence of each varietal character to its purest and fullest degree. In terms of their philosophy, he says “I want the wines to be genuine. I want them to be balanced and elegant but above all, they should move us, prompt our emotions and have a sense of authenticity”. Vinnae was created to celebrate the birth of Silvio Jermann’s second son, and to commemorate the Jermann family’s 100 years of winemaking at Villanova. Five generations of the family have cultivated Ribolla in the Collio vineyards of the village, earning themselves the title of ‘vinnaioli’ or wine growers; hence the name Vinnae for this Ribolla-based wine.

Pairing guide
Made primarily from beautifully crisp Ribolla Gialla grapes, this Veneto white blend truly encapsulates the beauty of the region’s cooler climate wines. All that tartness and breezy character makes it a perfect wine for pairing with white fish and seafood, especially Italian favourites like spaghetti vongole or other shellfish pasta classics. Summer salads and grilled white meats will work very well, as will side dishes of kale, lemon, pine nuts and other bright and fresh flavours.

Wine region
Friuli, Italy
Friuli is a wine region located in the northeastern part of Italy, near the border with Slovenia. The region is known for producing a variety of wine styles, including white, red, and sparkling wines. The white wines of Friuli are often made from grape varieties such as Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay, and are known for their crisp, aromatic character. Friuli is also home to a number of indigenous grape varieties, such as Tocai Friulano and Ribolla Gialla, which are used to produce distinctive white wines. The red wines of Friuli are typically made from grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Refosco, and are known for their elegance and finesse. Friuli has a unique climate, with cool nights and warm days, which helps to preserve the acidity in the grapes and produces wines with a refreshing character.
