Details
A unique white wine that tastes of a warm spring day, this golden white has lifted aromas of ginger, caraway, ripe cooked pear and stone fruits. It's quite powerful, ripe and has a real presence to it, with crunch and a firm finish. A showcase for how some of the famous Mediterranean grape varieties can make a happy home in McLaren Vale, the only crucial part here is to drink it well chilled to feel the freshness.
While the family vineyards date back to 1980, Hither & Yon’s journey began in 2012 from the capable hands of the Leask brothers. Richard is the outside man, the farmer and maker; Malcolm is the inside guy, director and creator. The aim is to make better wines with a lighter footprint. To do this, Hither & Yon apply regenerative farming methods that’d make Costas of Gardening Australia proud. Practices include and are not limited to increased plant diversity between rows, the use of beneficial fungi brews, and planned cattle grazing. The result is improved soil structure for better carbon capture and water retention; all this translates to superb fruit for the wines, not to mention some very happy sheep and cattle. We could go on about Richard and Malcolm’s miracle work, but being certified sustainable and carbon neutral says it all. In their own words, ‘We make wines that are good for the environment and feel great to drink!’ Cheers to that!

Pairing guide
It’s got to be said - Greco wines might just be a brand new obsession for us at Good Pair Days, and we’re sure you feel much the same. This gorgeous bottle from the ever-reliable Hither & Yon winery is a real beauty, and will pair brilliantly with dishes of snapper and other fish (especially if served with a citrus dressing, capers and a pinch of chilli heat). It’s also going to be excellent with simple parmesan and lemon risotto, classic creamy pasta dishes, all your favourite chicken breast recipes and green vegetable creations, too.
