Details
Classically Central Victorian on the nose, its a rich, robust and alluring Shiraz, with loads of vibrant, juicy berries and a hint of nutmeg. It's definitely bold like Shiraz, but it's got more of an elegance to it, with really lovely supple tannins and a long velvety palate, it entices you to go back for more. Ahh, Harvest Moon, I'm still in love with you...
Inspired by one of the greatest artists of all time, Neil Young, the timeless 'folk' singer, 'Harvest Moon' was the hauntingly beautiful 1992 release sequel to the infamous 1972 album 'Harvest' (yes, even you youngsters will appreciate his incredibly soulful music) Here's a bit of trivia - 'Harvest Moon' is the only song on the 'Rolling Stone' list of greatest Neil Young songs not released in the Seventies. The song itself is a tribute to Neil's wife Pegi, and in the video for the song the couple dances in a bar – even as another Neil Young is onstage singing the song. It's not nearly as trippy as it sounds. Anyway, back to the wine... Forged by friendships and crafted by passionate friends, 'Harvest Moon' is quintessentially Victorian. The Shiraz is from two regions of which this wonderfully fruity grape absolutely thrives- the ancient river of the Goulburn River, which gives the wine richness and vibrancy of fruit, and the other from a granite and ironstone soil, which adds depth and spice. These are the growers, who are long time friends of winemaker Dave, and we can only imagine, probably all sing along in the vineyard together.

Pairing guide
Harvest Moon has done a fantastic job of capturing everything we love about Shiraz in this beautiful bottle, and it’s going to be a real favourite at your dining table and during your next barbecue! Like all Shiraz, this one is going to be happiest paired with grilled and roasted red meats - the fattier and rougher the cut, the better. Homemade burgers, sausages, ribs, and steaks are all good to go, and for the vegetarians, it’s also beautiful with rustic bean and lentil dishes, grilled eggplant and capsicum, and smoky meat substitutes.

Wine region

Central Victoria, Australia
Central Victoria’s wine region is made up of several sub-regions. Some well-known sub-regions include the Bendigo, Heathcote, and Strathbogie Ranges, known for red wines made from Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon. The elevation of Mount Camel and the Great Diving Range ensures warm days and cool evenings for the vineyards, which is advantageous for reds but also aromatic and high-acid whites like Riesling and Chardonnay.
Warmer sub-regions within the Central Victorian wine region such as Goulburn Valley, Upper Goulburn, and Sunbury produce richer wines and have an increasing reputation for alternative Mediterranean varieties.
