Details
Plush, berried and seriously chunky. This has boatloads of plummy fruit power and lusciousness but with a cool, fresh mint hint thanks to the chilly winds that come straight off the Southern Ocean and cool down the Great Southern region. Full-bodied, full of life and perfect for a warm arvo BBQ.

WA's Great Southern is a huge wine region - 100 km north to south, 150km east to west, with everything from dry flatlands to WA's highest peaks (over 1000m in altitude). Diversity plus. For James Kellie and the Harewood team, it's about highlighting those differences, with the estate counting four vineyards at the polar ends of this vast region, from the sandy beaches of Denmark in the SW to the granite hills of Porongurup in the east. Oh yeah, James does some driving. But it's worth it because the amazing Riesling, Chardonnay, Shiraz & Cabernet, particularly, that come out under the Harewood Estate label are seriously charismatic - powerful, detailed wines that taste like they come from somewhere. An extra special shout to the Riesling range, where everything gets bottled separately so you can tour Great Southern without leaving the dinner table. Amazing.

Pairing guide
Bang! Here's a bold yet refined red, packed with dark berries, hints of peppery spice, and smooth tannins. Its rich and structured profile pairs beautifully with hearty dishes like slow-cooked beef brisket, chargrilled lamb chops, or a classic beef and mushroom pie. The wine’s spice and depth also complement Middle Eastern-inspired dishes, such as spiced lamb koftas or roasted eggplant with a smoky tahini drizzle. For cheese lovers, aged cheddar or blue cheese brings out its intensity. This Shiraz is a perfect match for dishes that embrace bold flavours and cozy vibes.
