Details
Lunch wine is a blend of Grenache with a generous dollop of Shiraz and Carignan, sourced from the rolling McLaren Vale hills. This is such a fresh and vibrant red, too, with crisp flavours and a real sense of red fruit snappiness that marks this as a tumbler wine for the ages. Then, just when your big glass looks empty, you start picking up the intensity of the fruit and think, 'Good one, Grant'.

Grant Nash may be the first wine label named after an autocorrect. That’s because if you say ‘Grenache’ too quick into an IPhone, Siri corrects it to Grant Nash. Boom! And for veteran wine salespeople-turned-vignerons Sam Martin & Sophie Richards, McLaren Vale Grenache is their first love. It’s a perfect match! The Grant Nash releases are super too - lucid red and rosé wines, made with minimal additions and maximal drinkability, that celebrate old Grenache vineyards and everything McLaren Vale. Cheers Siri!

Pairing guide
Lunch time anyone? A pastrami sandwich, maybe? That would work a treat actually, as would salami or cured meats, with the smoky flavours a great contrast to the bright red old vine Grenache fruit. You can't go past a simple tomato pasta here though, like an Amatriciana or a meaty Napolitana, using either bacon, beef or mushrooms (or all three). If anything, you can go alternative choices too, as the crisp acidity will cut through anything salty or rich - like a massman curry, for example.
