Details
This bottle screams to be drunk in the sun with some friends. It has a watermelon pink hue with cherry and sweet berries on the palate. Behind this fruit drive is some nice savoury and creamy notes that will have you reaching for the cheese board.

Fabien Castaing is a perfect example of a French winemaker who has grown up with grapes in his blood. Fabien’s family has been making wine in the Bergerac wine region since the end of the 19th century. Bergerac as a region at this time was still part of Bordeaux, however this has all changed now. The region lies inland of Bordeaux where you will find rolling hills and picturesque towns, and grossly undervalued wines that share the similar style and varieties to its big brother. The winery has two separate estates, Domaine De Moulin-Pouzy and Château Les Mailleries. Aside from making wine, Fabien also makes some extremely delicious Armagnac and Gin as well as grape juice for the kids. On the wine front, there are classic red blends made from Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, unique one off wines and some creative expressions of modern winemaking. We are thrilled to bring these wines to Aussie shores for the first time as well.

Pairing guide
Mmm… is there anything better than a blushing Merlot rosé on a hot day? This beautiful pink wine from Fabien Castaing is going to pair so well with sophisticated seared tuna dishes, seafood or fish-based salads, and creamy pasta with salmon, but you don’t have to stick with fish to find a stunning pairing for this wine. It’s also a winner with rare duck breast, Chinese poultry classics, rack of lamb, and feta and spinach combos, too, and you’ll get equally great results with runny cheeses like Camembert and Brie. Oh yes please!
