Details
The Touraine Gamay from Complices second vineyard, Domaine à Deux is an absolute banger, with bright purple colour, a smoked meat start on the nose with undercurrents of cherry berry spice. This Gamay shows a slightly wild side as well, which is still crunchy and bright.

The Loire Valley is a grand region that traverses central France where you will find the perfect mix of history, gastronomic delights and a nice smattering of castles. The region expands from the coastal city of Nantes where you could consume one of the best pairings in the world, oysters with muscadet, to the historically important city of Orléans, and by historic, we are talking Joan of Arc levels! François- Xavier Barc and Gérald Vallée started Complices de Loire in 2010, after both having a strong background of winemaking in the Loire Valley. The winery sources fruit from across the Loire and produces a range of classic wines from Sauvignon Blanc and Chenin Blanc to Cabernet Franc and Gamay. The winery has two different vineyards, after acquiring Domaine à Deux in 2015, which has helped grow the range of wines. There is a beauty to the range, with modern wine labels and well constructed wines that showcase the versatility of the Loire Valley.

Pairing guide
Gloriously juicy and plush, this beautiful Gamay from Domaine a Deux is superbly versatile when it comes to food pairing. You can lean into its robust and deeply fruity side, and pair it with grilled steak, meat loaf, and pork sausages. You can head off on exotic flights of fancy and explore its potential alongside a Moroccan chicken or lamb tagine. You can even get into fish and shellfish with this wine, as it’s a great pairing for cajun gumbo, jambalaya, and spiced prawns - the possibilities are as varied as they are exciting!
