Details
Lean and tangy, with oodles of green apple and lime, this is a Riesling built for fun! Goes down easy, and is just the thing with fish n chips or any form of summer fun. Keep well chilled and enjoy the citrussy blast of flavour. Delicious cool-climate Riesling.
Origin: Rhine Valley, Germany. Mainly Grown In: Germany, Australia, France, Austria, USA. Key Facts: Queen of precision, delicacy, and purity, Riesling is one of the few varieties that's as well known for world-class sweet wines as for bone dry. It has a drool-inducing nose of lime, apricot and honeysuckle and a palate can range from enamel-etching sour apple (in a good way), to godly nectar that satisfies desires you didn’t even know you craved to fill. Shamefully misunderstood due to the mass production of sloppily made sweet versions in the late ’80s and early ‘90s, Riesling has far overcome this poor reputation and claims some of the most honourable seats in the most coveted wine collections of the world. Fun Fact: Not great with spicy food? Well Riesling makes the perfect palate-cooling accompaniment - it's famed for its ability to dull the effects of spicy food!

Pairing guide
This bottle of Daisy Riesling offers bright acidity and zesty citrus notes make it a dream pairing for a wide range of dishes. Its crisp, refreshing nature beautifully cuts through rich, fatty foods like roast pork belly, duck, or creamy cheeses. For spicier fare, like Thai curries or Szechuan stir-fries, this will balance the heat, keeping your palate refreshed. Seafood is another perfect partner—think fresh oysters, grilled prawns, or pan-fried white fish with a squeeze of lemon. And for a classic German touch, pair it with sausages, sauerkraut, and potato salad. Riesling is a food-pairing chameleon—whether dry or sweet, it always rises to the occasion!

Wine region

Limestone Coast, Australia
The Limestone Coast is a large wine zone in the south-east of South Australia which has six wine regions that comprise the Limestone Coast; Coonawarra, Mount Benson, Mount Gambier, Padthaway, Robe and Wrattonbully. The Limestone Coast is in a unique position with cool winds and ocean waters throughout the summer months thanks to an oceanic event called the Bonney Upwelling which helps keep the vineyards cool during the hot summer months. The Limestone Coast produces a wide range of quality wines from classic Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz in Coonawarra to cool-climate varieties like Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in Robe and Mount Gambier. It is truly a versatile area and one of the backbones of the Australian wine industry.
