Details
Zippy, tart and fresh; you'll find all of the hallmarks of classic Chenin Blanc in this wine. Prepare for an injection of citrus freshness here, it's zesty, and absolutely popping with character and vivacity.
Chenin Blanc has long been a well known variety in France, with the Loire Valley offering the iconic Vouvray appellation to the masses as well as the smaller, but sought after region of Savennières. In this part of the world, Chenin Blanc can be made into gorgeous sparkling wine, complex still wine and sweet-as-nectar dessert wine. However, there is a new player on the field with South Africa taking Chenin Blanc and making it, its own with a host of good producers knocking out some truly breathtaking wine. Enter Good Pair Days and our friends from the mother country, Boutinot. These guys excel at finding us the good stuff, and they have worked their magic with Cape Heights, which is providing us with a lovely range of South African wines, including the previously mentioned Chenin Blanc. Teaming up, we aim to give you the best impression of South African Chenin, so you know what the hype is all about.

Pairing guide
We can never resist a beautiful Chenin Blanc at mealtimes, and this stunning bottle from Cape Heights ticks all the right boxes. Chenin Blanc is always fantastic with Asian - especially Cantonese - dishes which provide some kind of sweet and sour element, as well as with Moroccan tagines featuring chicken or vegetables with fruit, honey, cinnamon and other spices. Roast cauliflower, creamy vegetable soups, seafood salads or pasta dishes and Thai green curry would also offer superb pairing options to explore.
