Details
This is a delightful Grenache Blanc, Roussanne blend from a region that may only usually be seen when you are tuned into the Tour de France. Located in the Pyrenees on the border of Spain and France, and right next to Andorra, this wine might take your breath away. With green apple and lemon vibrancy that opens up with wet rock and peach skin texture.
Over the last two or three decades, there has been a strong awareness that Languedoc isn’t just a region to produce warm climate, cheap wine for the local lunchtime bistro crowd. Bit by bit, there has been an awareness that you don't have to worry about old bush vines and climate, except when the thermometer pushes 40 degrees. Enter Terres Fidèles, who through several labels have become aware of the quality of varieties like Grenache, Carignan, Roussanne and Viognier. The Camí del Drac label focuses on two wines, a Carignan sourced from a collection of 50-60 year old vines, outside sunny Perpignan on the coast of southern France and a Grenache Blanc blend which comes from a vineyard that is very close to the Spanish, and Andorran border. The wines are full of personality and it is easy to see why the Languedoc and other southern French regions are receiving the love they need.

Pairing guide
We simply can’t get enough of this charming Grenache Blanc blend, which brings together an array of irresistible white varieties to produce a wine that’s truly more than the sum of its parts. When pairing with this wine, you’ll want to opt for richer seafood - scallops, lobster, Moreton Bay bugs and crab are all highly recommended - especially if with creamy sauces, aromatic Asian spices or additions like coriander, ginger and lime. Pork loin, chicken breast, soba or udon noodles, milder Indian curries and salads with a creamy dressing will also work well.

Languedoc, France
The Languedoc wine region is located in the south of France, in the Languedoc-Roussillon region. It is the largest wine-producing region in France and is known for its wide variety of wine styles, including red, white, rosé, and sparkling. As a younger region, Languedoc has less restrictive wine growing laws making it a virtual oasis for progressive winemakers. As a result, you may find many innovative, even atypical blends in this region, that represent excellent value. Of the numerous varieties available in Languedoc Grenache, Syrah, Carignan, Cinsault, Mourvèdre, and Viognier are the stand outs. Top producers are known showcasing the unique character of the Languedoc region, including Mas de Daumas Gassac, Château de Saint-Martin, Mas Jullien, and Château d'Angles.
