Château Laballe, located in the Bas-Armagnac region of Gascony, was established in 1820 and is currently managed by the Laudet family. The estate spans approximately 17 hectares of vineyards planted on sandy and clay soils, well-suited for grape varieties such as Gros Manseng, Colombard, Ugni Blanc, Tannat, and Merlot. Château Laballe produces both still wines and Bas-Armagnac. The white wines are typically crisp and aromatic, while the reds are known for their structure and balance. The estate employs sustainable viticulture practices, including organic farming methods, to preserve the environment and enhance the quality of its wines. The production of Bas-Armagnac remains a key part of Château Laballe’s identity, with a focus on traditional distillation techniques. The estate’s commitment to quality and innovation is reflected in its diverse portfolio, which is distributed both domestically and internationally.

Pairing guide
With its blushing pink colour and absolutely stunning array of soft fruit flavours, this rosé from Laballe encapsulates everything we love about this wine style. You’ll want to pair this bottle with dishes which make fine use of fresh tomatoes and aromatic herbs like basil, as well as with any ham and cheese combo you can dream up in your kitchen. Grilled chicken thighs, salmon pasta dishes, vegetable risotto, surf ‘n’ turf, and barbecued pork sausages and prawns are also great options to go for.
