Details
This is one of those wines that was love at first taste for us! It is a pretty serious iteration of Soave's grape. This wine is excellently balanced with lemon, white spice, and blossom notes with a slightly creamy mouthfeel and a good spine of acidity. Wonderful varietal character.

Origin: Veneto in north-east Italy. Mainly Grown In: Veneto, Sicily and Victoria. Key Facts: Garganega is the grape that gives character to the famous white blend of Soave - a small but important region in Italy's largest wine region. It's main characters are lemon, almond and pear, with plenty of fresh acidity and a tantalising spiciness that make it not only thirst-quenching, but deliciously complex as well. Interestingly enough, in Australia, Italian immigrants brought it to the King Valley in Victoria in the 1970s, following a decline in the demand for tobacco. Now, the King Valley is Australia's leading region for Italian varieties... including, of course, Garganega! Fun Fact: Bit of a toungue-twister, but it is pronounced 'Gar-gan-eh-gah'... Gar is like car, but with a 'g'. Try it out at the next Italian restaurant you're at. Sure to impress.
