Details
Made from local variety Folle Blanche, with a dash of Pinot Noir, this is a stunning sparkling wine that would give many entry level champagnes a run for their money....and in a few cases, knock them out of the park. It's zesty and floral, but built around acidity and crunch. Very lovely.

From one of France's far-flung wine regions - the Pays Nantais, which sits on the western edge of the Loire Valley - come wines made by a man with one of the world's great moustaches. We suspect this has no bearing on the quality of the wines, but it's great to know nonetheless! Jo Landron makes wines that brim with life and personality. He learnt to farm the land from his father, took control of the family domaine 1990, and has been making some the regions best wines ever since. The wines here are laser focussed, built on acidity and blisteringly dry and precise. Not a lot of flowers or fruit in these wines - instead, the taste of the sea breeze and the crunch of chalk. The unique expression of Landron’s wines are the result of the diversity of soil types that are found within his vineyards. All are farmed organically snd the wines are made with wild yeasts. This traditional, minimalist approach preserves the natural freshness and minerality that is a trademark of the very best wines of this genre. These are wines of Riesling-like freshness and clarity, yet with the mineral drive of more expensive French whites (Burgundy, we're looking at you) They represent some of the best value white wines in Europe today.

Elegant, refreshing, and oh-so delicious, this gorgeous sparkler from the ever-impressive Jo Landron really hits the spot when it comes to food pairing. Incredibly versatile, this fizzy wine is going to pair really well with fresh salads, raw or grilled seafood, and crispy chicken and battered vegetables like an absolute dream. It’s also a superb aperitif wine, and will work very well with both sweet and savoury appetisers.

Wine region
Pays Nantais, France
Pays Nantais is a wine region located in the Loire Valley of France. It is known for producing white wines made from the Melon de Bourgogne grape, often under the Muscadet AOC. These wines are characterised by their crisp acidity, fresh fruit flavours, and mineral notes. The region is located near the city of Nantes, on the Atlantic coast, and benefits from the cool oceanic climate that provides ideal conditions for growing these grapes. Pays Nantais wines are enjoyed for their refreshing character and are often served as aperitifs or paired with seafood dishes.
