Details
It makes sense that Margaret River would produce high quality Cabernet Franc if the close relative that is Cab Sauv has become world famous. The Moss Brothers example has plenty of herbal tones with violets and layers of plums and blackberries. There is a pop of brightness to this with mouth filling tannin and bursting fruit that comes in waves across the palate.

Nestled amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Margaret River, Moss Brothers winery stands as a testament to the enduring passion and dedication of its founders. This captivating winery weaves a tale of resilience, craftsmanship, and the remarkable individuals who have transformed it into a true gem of the region. The winery was started by renowned viticulturist Jeff Moss in 1984 with a focus on the key varieties of the region, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and the two varieties that make up SBS. With Rory Parks and Kate Morgan now at the helm there is an exciting range of wines coming under four different ranges. There has also been an exciting development with the growing production for Chenin Blanc, which is really hitting its straps, as well as some developing Cabernet Franc. The ‘Moses Rock’ range is named after the wild stallion who roamed the Wilyabrup region of Margaret River in the 1920s. Legend has it that he was named after the very popular surf break, because of his energy, spirit and wild temperament.

Pairing guide
We just can’t get enough of this delicious Cabernet Franc from Moss Brothers’ fantastic Moses Rock range - it was love at first sip here at GPD Towers, and we just know you’re going to feel the same. Rich and robust, it deserves to be paired with a hearty home-cooked classic; everything from shepherd’s pie to lasagne, homemade pizza, or a proper roast beef, chicken, lamb or pork dinner will do the trick. Homemade burgers, lentil and bean dishes, tomato-based pasta sauces or a Moroccan tagine will also do the trick perfectly.
