Details
This is excellent value Chianti from the estates of Andrea Cecchi. Made from 90% Sangiovese and 10% Colorino (a deep-coloured red wine grape variety planted primarily in Tuscany), this wine doesn’t see any oak, making it a vibrant & fresh expression of Chianti, with aromas of black forest fruits, Morello cherries and woodland berries, and hints of saddle leather and Victoria plums. Delicious.

Pairing guide
Capturing the unrivalled excellence of the Tuscan sunshine, this elegant Chianti from Monte Guelfo is a real crowd-pleaser. We’d recommend matching this beautiful red wine with tomato-based dishes - everything from a spaghetti bolognese to a lamb tagine, lasagne, moussaka, puttanesca and all'arrabbiata will hit the spot - or with dishes or roast pork (including a Christmas ham!), rack of lamb, or warm duck salad. Eggplant parmigiana, tomato and basil soup, and Tuscan bean stews and soups will also be excellent here.

Chianti, Italy
Chianti is a world-famous wine region in Italy and is home to the country's mightiest grape variety: Sangiovese. The region is characterised by its rolling hills, warm temperatures, and well-drained soils, which provide the ideal growing conditions for the grapes. Chianti has a long history of winemaking, dating back to the 14th century, and is now one of Italy's most well-known wine regions. The Chianti Classico denomination, established in 1716, is one of Italy's oldest and most respected wine designations, guaranteeing the quality and origin of the wine. Whether enjoyed on its own or paired with traditional Tuscan cuisine, Chianti is a must-try for any wine lover.
