Details
Pale gold in the glass, this blend of aromatic varieties Pinot Bianco, Ribolla Gialla and Friulano has a fruit-driven but complex nose of fresh herbs, freshly cut William pear and honeydew melon, with interwoven savoury flint notes riding over a creamy palate. The wine has lovely weight, with juicy tang of acidity and a chalky, mineral finish. Just Molamatta? Just delicious!

The Collio in Friuli-Venezia Giulia is a land with a deep-rooted vocation for viticulture. Marco Felluga tells the story of a family that, for six generations, has been cultivating its passion for wine. The family’s history can be traced back more than 160 years ago, to Istria in Croatia, with Michele Felluga the first to make wine the family business. This vinous path was significantly taken forward by his son Marco, a pioneer of modern viticulture, who expanded into Friuli. It was then continued with love and entrepreneurship by Roberto and Ilaria Felluga, supporters of sustainable and high-quality winemaking. Roberto, the fifth-generation winemaker, has always based his work and approach on sustainability; adopting innovative processes, supported by national and international research, aimed at the production of high-quality, age-worthy white and red wines with reduced environmental impact; integrated pest control; natural fertilizers to take care of the vineyards and the Collio’s ecosystem, and respect for the land, its history and traditions.

Pairing guide
This delightful white blend from Marco Felluga is a masterclass in balance, crispness and delicate, almost earthy flavours. We especially enjoyed it with creamy pasta dishes featuring smoky cured pork and plenty of parmesan, but it’s also going to be fantastic with smoked fish, avocado, and risotto dishes, too. Roast poultry and pork will work well, and it’s not half bad with a coconut milk-based curry and anything with loads of ginger, coriander and garlic… so get creative in the kitchen and come up with your perfect pairing!

Wine region
Friuli, Italy
Friuli is a wine region located in the northeastern part of Italy, near the border with Slovenia. The region is known for producing a variety of wine styles, including white, red, and sparkling wines. The white wines of Friuli are often made from grape varieties such as Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chardonnay, and are known for their crisp, aromatic character. Friuli is also home to a number of indigenous grape varieties, such as Tocai Friulano and Ribolla Gialla, which are used to produce distinctive white wines. The red wines of Friuli are typically made from grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Refosco, and are known for their elegance and finesse. Friuli has a unique climate, with cool nights and warm days, which helps to preserve the acidity in the grapes and produces wines with a refreshing character.
