Details
A brilliant wine, this classically structured rosé from the south of Provence is composed of a mix of Carignan, Syrah and Grenache. It's full of white cherry, peach, nectarine, liquorice and sweet grapefruit. It is both silky and sharp, with zesty acidity and a flourish of white pepper on the finish.

Certified organic since 2005, Chateau de la Tour de l'Eveque is an under-the-radar producer in Provence, consistently producing ultra high quality rosé and serious reds. Formerly the summer residence of the archbishops of Toulon, this property has a storied history - Queen Mary, Countess of Provence, gave privileges on this land to the inhabitants from the local village of Cuer, and the sister of King René, Queen Jeanne, the Queen of Naples, stayed there on her travels. The Sumiere family own this wonderful gem, led previously by Roger Sumeire, who has been in charge since 1946. He was responsible for adding more 'modern' varieties like Cabernet Sauvignon to the existing selection of local varieties. Lately his daughter Régine Sumeire continues the work of her family. At the end of 2010 she started a vast project of building a new cellar, in order to vinify and bottle the production all via gravity. A huge success, it has only increased the quality of this famed estate.

Pairing guide
With its pale pink hue and refreshing flavours of lime and exotic fruits, this elegant rosé really epitomises the Provencal style we all know and love. It’s a great choice for food pairing, especially when matched with the kind of easy-going dishes we all enjoy on a sunny day in the park. Pies and pastries are a great match, as are pasta salads, classic salads like Nicoise or chicken Caesar, homemade pesto and dips such as tapenade, cured meats, strong cheeses, and - of course - fresh and raw seafood.

Wine region
Provence, France
Provence is a wine region in southeastern France best known for its delicious rosé wines and beautiful beaches. It's also home to a number of protected wine appellations, such as the Côtes de Provence AOC and the Bandol AOC, which produce some of the best rosé wines in the world. Located on the Mediterranean Sea, this region has a warm and sunny climate, with long, hot summers and mild, wet winters. The landscape is filled with rolling hills, and picturesque villages on a gorgeous coastline, making it a holiday hub for many - sand in your toes, and rosé on the beach, anyone? But if rosé isn't your thing, the region also produces white and red wines, predominantly made from a variety of grape varieties, including Grenache, Syrah, and Cinsault. Whether you're a wine enthusiast or just looking for a fun and relaxing vacation, Provence has something for everyone.
