Details
This is dark, spicy Tempranillo that leads with plenty of fruit - black cherries, juicy blackberries and some cooked plum.
There's plenty of liquorice and oak spice, but it finishes soft and smooth and round.
You love the bold and the beautiful; The kind of beauty that is confident, self-assured, secure and doesn’t need to spend extra time in the mirror for a self-guided pep talk in order to look mega hot on the dancefloor. Meet Tempranillo, a Spanish grape with a confident backbone of tannin balanced with sweeter red fruits like cherries and strawberries and with an alluring kick of spice. Tempranillo is praised both in its youth and with oak age in Spain. In fact, they have a full grading system based on the time it spends aging in oak. The more time in oak, the more expensive, but also the more you will notice flavours becoming more leathery and savoury. Pairing guide
Ooh, we love a nice Tempranillo here… especially when served with a big bowl of something warming, rustic, and hearty for dinner! There’s something about this Spanish grape varietal that sees it pairing up really nicely with simple and delicious dishes made with plenty of soul - it suits Mexican food beautifully, and it’s a natural fit for big Spanish stews, meaty casseroles, and takeaway favourites like pizza and lasagna. It’s also surprisingly good with corn and polenta, meaning there’s plenty of scope for pairing this top wine with vegetarian food, too.
