Details
Just how we love our Savvy — all boing and brightness with plenty of confidence. Zingy lime, gooseberry, and a herbal capsicum edge. There's great pucker on the palate with high acidity and a zesty light body. A tropical kiss of passionfruit that keeps this wine in complete harmony before a mineral-driven and chalky finish. Great refreshing stuff!
Origin: Likely France, but unconfirmed. Possibly a wild grape variety that was indigenous to multiple areas in slightly different forms. Mainly Grown In: France, New Zealand, Italy, Chile, USA, Sth Africa, Australia (best-known AU regions are Adelaide Hills and Yarra Valley). Key Facts: If you’re a fan of a lime twist in your drinks, the smell of fresh cut grass in the morning, and have been told you are intense or that "you sure stand out in a crowd", well, you’ve met your match. Sauvignon Blanc is an all-dials-at-max kind of grape, which means it's going to fist pump your senses with its intense (and sometimes pungent) aromas, mouth-watering freshness and a cleansing herbaceous character. As one of the most planted white grapes in the world, it’s no wonder it has claimed hearts in various styles; It can be lean and zesty when it’s from cooler climates and fuller and more tropical when grown in warmer ones. Fun Fact: The first Friday in May is celebrated as International Sauvignon Blanc Day! Like we needed another excuse... Just how we love our Sauvy — all boing and brightness with plenty of confidence. Pairing guide
Sauvignon Blanc is always a winner when it comes to teaming up with hard to match foods. This beauty from the cool Limestone Coast really is no exception. It’s got all those lovely crisp and grassy flavours present and correct, making it stunning when matched with goats’ cheese, green vegetables like beans, asparagus, artichoke, and spinach. It never fails to hit the high notes when paired with silky white fish fillets, and you’ll find great results pairing it with firmer grilled fish like swordfish and barramundi, too. This particular bottle is also going to be delicious with Thai curries and spicy southeast Asian flavours, so don’t hesitate to reach for the green curry paste when whipping up something tasty in the kitchen!

Limestone Coast, Australia
The Limestone Coast is a large wine zone in the south-east of South Australia which has six wine regions that comprise the Limestone Coast; Coonawarra, Mount Benson, Mount Gambier, Padthaway, Robe and Wrattonbully. The Limestone Coast is in a unique position with cool winds and ocean waters throughout the summer months thanks to an oceanic event called the Bonney Upwelling which helps keep the vineyards cool during the hot summer months. The Limestone Coast produces a wide range of quality wines from classic Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz in Coonawarra to cool-climate varieties like Chardonnay and Pinot Noir in Robe and Mount Gambier. It is truly a versatile area and one of the backbones of the Australian wine industry.
