Details
Provence is where you'll find the world's most legendary pink wine, and the hills of the Coteaux d'Aix en Provence are smack bang in the middle of the hot zone. This X rosé comes from the sprawling Estandon portfolio and is everything you want in a silken French rosé, with a delicate, lightly fragrant strawberry fragrance plus a few dried herbs, with the palate's textured edges just upping the liquid silk factor even more.

Estandon is a French co-operative that, for the past 50 years, has worked to 'express all the joy of the Provençal way of life' with 'wines that offer drinking pleasure and conviviality'. Sure, that all sounds idyllic (who wouldn't want to live and work in the south of France?), but Estandon is successful because of the 300 small winegrowers behind the label. This varied group farms their own plots, but pool their grapes and resources to help make the wines. The result is that Estandon is Provence's largest organic rosé producer, with a smorgasbord of absolutely classic wines to show for it.

Pairing guide
A good Provence rosé is a tough wine to beat, and this stunning bottle perfectly captures that freshness and lightness of touch this very special part of the world is renowned for. It’s especially ideal for pairing with bright Mediterranean flavours - think grilled prawns with olives and fresh herbs, seafood soups and stews, and fillets of salmon with plenty of lemon and parsley. Nicoise salads, chicken breasts with prosciutto or other delicate cuts of ham, homemade quiche lorraine, and Moroccan tagines with chicken and preserved lemons will be absolutely wonderful here.

Wine region
Provence, France
Provence is a wine region in southeastern France best known for its delicious rosé wines and beautiful beaches. It's also home to a number of protected wine appellations, such as the Côtes de Provence AOC and the Bandol AOC, which produce some of the best rosé wines in the world. Located on the Mediterranean Sea, this region has a warm and sunny climate, with long, hot summers and mild, wet winters. The landscape is filled with rolling hills, and picturesque villages on a gorgeous coastline, making it a holiday hub for many - sand in your toes, and rosé on the beach, anyone? But if rosé isn't your thing, the region also produces white and red wines, predominantly made from a variety of grape varieties, including Grenache, Syrah, and Cinsault. Whether you're a wine enthusiast or just looking for a fun and relaxing vacation, Provence has something for everyone.
