Details
Wow, what a stunning wine! A wonderfully fresh, food-friendly style of old vine rosé - this is serious, delicious and powerful. It boasts an onion-skin hue, and has a bouquet dominated by floral and hay aromas. The palate is succulent and fresh, showing lightly spiced apricot and citrus flavours. Bright acidity and a long finish complete the picture. So good.
Château Sainte Marguerite is a Côtes de Provence classified vineyard that has been producing high quality wine since 1955. It is a large estate, that sits across over 80 hectares. The estate itself was established back in 1929, always with the intention of wine production, but financial difficulties followed by WWII held up the production and release of the initial wines. When they got going though, they became unstoppable! They have been considered one of the foremost producers of high quality rosé in the region for decades now. The estate is facing the sea in the subregion of La Londe-les-Maures, about an hours drive east of Marseille. Not too far from the sea, the estate benefits from the maritime breezes. A mixture of Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah is planted through the vineyards, and all of these are used in tandem to create rosés of very high quality. Everything is done by hand, and the focus in the vines is for organic and biodynamic viticulture. Maximum care is taken, in an attempt to create balanced, vital wines of great intregrity.

Provence, France
Provence is a wine region in southeastern France best known for its delicious rosé wines and beautiful beaches. It's also home to a number of protected wine appellations, such as the Côtes de Provence AOC and the Bandol AOC, which produce some of the best rosé wines in the world. Located on the Mediterranean Sea, this region has a warm and sunny climate, with long, hot summers and mild, wet winters. The landscape is filled with rolling hills, and picturesque villages on a gorgeous coastline, making it a holiday hub for many - sand in your toes, and rosé on the beach, anyone? But if rosé isn't your thing, the region also produces white and red wines, predominantly made from a variety of grape varieties, including Grenache, Syrah, and Cinsault. Whether you're a wine enthusiast or just looking for a fun and relaxing vacation, Provence has something for everyone.
