Three Prosecco Wines. For Prosecco lovers
Perfectly Bubbly Prosecco - $70
1. Strata Prosecco 2020
This Prosecco from the King Valley in Victoria is easygoing and perfectly pitched. There's some gentle fruit sweetness that is balanced by plenty of lime, grapefruit and green apple. It has a soft texture and and a gentle finish, and the bead is pillowy. Perfect for any occasion.
2. Allora Prosecco NV
This is fresh and thirst-quenching, with pretty jasmine notes to balance this wine's fruity nature. Rockmelon, sweet lemon sherbert and crunchy apple flavours with just a kiss of sweetness. The palate is frothy, zippy and balanced, finishing on clean mineral notes and marzipan.
3. Babo Prosecco NV
Prosecco can sometimes be a touch too sickly sweet, but not here! This bottle from Babo is styled as 'Brut' meaning dry, and the sugar level is far more reasonable. It's still got characteristic Prosecco fruitiness though, loaded with ripe peach, plenty of zesty citrus and more than a whisper of fresh melon. Slightly savoury and yeasty, in the best way, with a long, fresh finish.
